The intake for last year end's HIC was quite good. I had 2 CEC classes and 1 ESCN class. The kids were all excited and enthusiastic about the classes and enjoyed learning the electone. there were many pairs of siblings in the classes. There was even a triplets! I dont think you'll be able to guess who they are : )
During the HIC CEC classes, they learn how to play with their 5 finger position, solfege and reading of simple notes, action songs, and some even attempted playing in unison with both hands. At the end of the 8 lessons, the class put up a mini class concert for their parents.
As for the HIC ESCN students, they learnt how to play the C and G7 chords and both hand playing together with the built in registration menu to make it more interesting. they too had a mini concert for their parents to enjoy their playing and seeing what they'd learnt.
During the mini concerts, some of my existing students were invited to be the guest performers to present some of the pieces they've learnt in class. This is to enlighten and motivate the new beginners on what lies ahead and what they can achieve if they continue in the classes.
I guess all the students had a good time.
Here are the pictures taken during the mini concerts
